Songstress St. Vincent just announced plans for a self-titled fourth album, a much-anticipated follow-up to 2011’s Strange Mercy. Due out February 25 via Loma Vista Records, you can listen below to the album’s first single, “Birth in Reverse,” while you look for concert tickets, because she’s going on tour. Spanning about six weeks, St. Vincent’s North American tour kicks off on New York City on February 26 at Terminal 5, and then continues through Asheville, NC; Denver, CO; Lawrence, KS; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Atlanta, GA; and Buffalo, NY, to name a few. Annie Erin Clark (known by her stage name, St. Vincent) began her musical career as a member of The Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Steven’s touring band before striking it out on her own. With the release of Marry Me in 2007 and Actor in 2009, St. Vincent drew comparisons to mega stars like David Bowie and Kate Bush. She collaborated with David Byrne in 2012 (Love This Giant was the album), as well as opened for acts such as Grizzly Bear, Death Cab for Cutie, Andrew Bird and Arcade Fire.
