Staples Center Set To Rock All Year Long
Staples Center Concerts
Staples Center is going to be BUSY throughout the year when it comes to big name concerts fronted by some of the biggest names in music today. We’ll get to the schedule on what is already on tap for the home of the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Kings, but let’s take a look at some of the biggest concerts to ever come through the venue since it opened in 1999.
The first ever event, never mind concert, at Staples Center was a Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band concert on October 17, 1999. The list of artists that have played the venue over the past thirteen years include Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, John Mayer, Prince, U2, Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Usher, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Roger Waters and Britney Spears.
Now as for this year, the concert schedule as of today includes the following highlights: Rihanna on April 8; Bon Jovi on April 19; Justin Bieber on June 24 & 25; Kendrick Lamar on June 29; R. Kelly on June 30; Beyonce on July 1; Fleetwood Mac on July 3; New Kids On The Block on July 5; Bruno Mars on July 27 & 28; One Direction on August 7, 8, 9 & 10; Taylor Swift on August 19, 20, 23 & 24; Depeche Mode on September 28 & 29 and Pink on October 12.
