String Cheese Incident Announce Summer Tour Plans
String Cheese Incident Tour
For 20 years, the String Cheese Incident has been filling our insatiable ears with their Colorado-based funky jams. The six-piece outfit – who began touring and performing back in 1993 – blend elements of rock, country, funk and jazz, to create truly unique improvised jam music. After a hiatus from 2007 to 2009, the band is back in full effect, and you can catch them throughout the Midwest and West this summer.
Their recently announced tour dates place them throughout Colorado, Michigan, Texas and more, and the fun kicks off on June 21 in Telluride, CO, at Town Park. After that, they’ll perform at Electric Forest in Rothbury, MI, which is where they reunited back in ’08 and ’09. The band will also make an appearance at this year’s Forecastle Festival, plus a late-night gig at The Palace Theater in Kentucky on July 13. Folks living the dream out West can also catch them for a two-night stint at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO, followed by a three-night run in North Plains, OR, from August 2 – 4. Tickets for the shows go on sale Thursday, March 7. Check out a video of them performing “Jellyfish” below.
