Winter 2014 Tour Dates
Hot on the heels of their NYE announcement, electronic improv band STS9 will head out on the road for a series of winter shows in early 2014. Kicking off on January 23 in San Diego, CA, at the House of Blues, the tour will make stops in Colorado, Chicago, and several performances on the East Coast. Look for a two-night stint at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, (you know, the place that Phil Lesh will be spending the majority of his 2014). Also on the docket is a TBD February 4 show somewhere in Nebraska, as well as a gig at everybody’s favorite 9:30 Club in D.C. The tour wraps up on February 22 in Knoxville, TN, at the Tennessee Theatre. Check out the full list of shows below.
Spring 2013 Tour Dates
If you’re looking for a dance-filled, sweaty, helluvagood time, look no further than Sound Tribe Sector 9, otherwise known as STS9. This instrumental electronic band blends jazz, drum & bass, psychedelia and hip-hop, to create a truly unique sound in the same vein as EOTO or Soulive. While bands in this genre are generally on the road the majority of the time, STS9 has a markably packed 2013 schedule. Not only is the five-piece band currently in the studio working on a new album, but they’re also touring nonstop from February through the end of April, as well as several festival stints including a spot at Summer Camp Music Festival held in Chicago.

The first leg of their tour kicks off in Portland, OR, on February 21 at The Crystal Ballroom. They’ll stay on the West Coast for a while, performing in Seattle, California and Colorado until they get a little country down in Texas for a show at the House of Blues on March 8. For the east-coasters in da’ house, you can see STS9 perform in NYC at Roseland Ballroom on April 20 (hehe, 4:20). The tour wraps up on April 27 with a show at Jannus Landing in St. Petersburg, FL.
