Tame Impala Announces Second NYC Show
Psychedelic rock band Tame Impala hails from Perth, Australia, but, boy, are they big in the United States. They pretty much instantly sold out their November 9 show at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, so the band has decided to add another one, this time on November 10. These NYC dates are Tame Impala’s only remaining shows in the Northeast, so if you’re in the area, we’re sure you’re going to want to stop by. Other stops on Tame Impala’s mini-tour for this fall include one at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA on November 12, a show at the misnomer Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, NV on November 13; and a gig at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, CA on November 15. Delicate Steve will be opening. Get those tickets while you can.
Founded as a project of rocker Kevin Parker, Tame Impala was first recognized as a force in rock music with their 2010 debut album Innerspeaker. The band (named after the animal, not the car) then went on to record 2012’s Lonerism, garnering much critical and commercial acclaim. And, speaking of commercials, where else have you heard them? In this ad for Blackberry’s Z10 (now, didn’t that sound familiar?).
