Ride In On An “Elephant”: Tame Impala Will Tour The U.S.
Tame Impala Tour
Get those “Half Full Glasses of Wine” ready to celebrate, because Australian rockers Tame Impala recently announced that they’ve added a handful of U.S. dates to the tail-end of their world tour, some co-headlining with the Flaming Lips and the National. Though the band’s global hike starts this summer, but they won’t come stateside until the fall. Tame Impala’s first show is in Boston, and from there, they make their way to New York, Austin – twice (for Austin City Limits Festival), Chicago, Kansas City, and quite a few more (check the list below for more details). Sad that your city didn’t make the cut? Chin up – dates could be added at any time.
Tame Impala was first recognized for their 2010 album Innerspeaker. The band (yes, named after the animal, not the car) then went on to record 2012’s Lonerism to much critical acclaim. Where have you heard them? In this commercial for Blackberry’s Z10 (now, didn’t that sound familiar?).
