Top 5 Tour Announcements of the Week
It’s been a massive week of tour announcements, with everyone from Taylor Swift to Tyler, the Creator announcing their 2018 plans. Find out who we’re most excited to see hit the road.
Jeff Lynne’s ELO Summer Tour
Jeff Lynne’s ELO have announced their first full-length outing in 35 years, with 10 cities scheduled for next summer. It kicks off on August 2 in Oakland, CA at the Oracle Arena, followed by shows in Colorado, Houston, Detroit, Toronto and NYC. The North American leg comes to a close on August 24 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly. Tickets & tour dates here.
Foo Fighters ‘Concrete and Gold’ Additional Tour Dates
After an initial tour announcement, the Foo Fighters have just added another batch of shows to their 2018 Concrete and Gold tour. The new dates take place along the Pacific Northwest in September, including stops in Alberta and British Columbia, plus Portland and San Jose. They’ve also confirmed their New Year’s Eve plans: a show at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Tickets & tour dates here.
Tyler, the Creator & Vince Staples Tour
Although he’s still in the throes of his Flower Boy Tour, that’s not stopping Tyler, The Creator. The rapper has just announced a joint tour with Vince Staples slated for winter of 2018. The fun kicks off on January 26 in Vancouver, BC and the PNE Forum, followed by stops along the Pacific Northwest, South and East Coast. The final stop is marked by a performance on March 4 in Milwaukee at the Eagles Ballroom. Tickets & tour dates here.
Warped Tour 2018 Tour Dates
A major announcement came out of the Warped Tour camp yesterday, with founder Kevin Lyman revealing that next year’s tour would be the last. Truly the end of a musical era. On a positive note, he did confirm that they’d commemorate the tour’s 25th anniversary in 2019 and dates for 2018 were also unleashed. Catch the FINAL WARPED TOUR EVER starting on June 21 in Pomona, CA and wrapping up on August 5 in West Palm Beach, FL. Tickets & tour dates here.
Taylor Swift ‘Reputation’ Tour
Taylor Swift has (finally) announced dates behind her Reputation tour, just days after the album dropped nationwide. The trek will take place next summer with shows stretching into early fall. The Reputation Tour kicks off on May 8 in in Glendale, AZ at University of Phoenix Stadium, followed by shows along the West Coast, Midwest and Eastern Seaboard. After a run through the Southeast, the tour wraps up on October 6 with a performance at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Tickets & tour dates here.
