Famous Phish frontman Trey Anastasio will be touring with one of his other music projects, Trey Anastasio Band, to showcase some the new music they put together for their upcoming album Paper Wheels. Trey and the gang will kick things off on November 28 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. From there, it’s on to shows in Pittsburgh and Richmond, VA. They’ll take over Washington DC’s 9:30 Club on both December 2 and 3, followed by another two-night stint at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre on December 5 and 6. The crew will then play shows in Portland, ME, and Binghamton, NY, before another two-night stretch, this time at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on December 11 and 12. They’ll then close out the tour on December 13 at the Tower Theatre in Philadelphia.

With origins in a collection of Vermont musician that Anastasio put together for a show at his brother-in-law’s nightclub in 1998, the Trey Anastasio Band (also known as TAB) has gone through various incarnations, sizes, and lineup changes over the years. Anastasio initially used the group as a touring and backing band to perform his solo work whole Phish was inactive, but by the mid-2000s the group had evolved into its own musical act. Paper Wheels is due out early next year.
