Ted Nugent, darling of Detroit and rock n’ roll icon, has announced plans for a his next tour, lovingly titled “Ted Nugent Black Power 2013.” Woah, what?! The right-wing rocker explained the name in a recent column, saying that “dirty Democrat politicians” are the enemies of black Americans: “The truth is that the Democratic Party has the engineer of the destruction of black Americans, and everyone knows it except the very people who need to know it most – black Americans.” I wonder if Obama realizes…

The tour kicks off on April 18 in Grand Forks, ND, at the Ralph Engelstad Arena. After that it’s off to Minneapolis for a gig at the Target Center, followed by a performance in Toledo, OH, at the Huntington Center. On April 23, Nugent will hit up the East Coast, and you can catch him at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, MA, on April 23. The already-controversial tour wraps up on May 19 with a gig in Burgettstown, PA. Joining the musician as support will be STYX and REO Speedwagon.
