Terrapin Flyer To Follow In the Footsteps Of The Dead
Terrapin Flyer Tour 2013
Fans of the Grateful Dead won’t find themselves at a loss for entertainment this coming spring and summer. Dark Star Orchestra, a Grateful Dead fan tribute band, recently announced a slew of summer tour dates, and now, Terrapin Flyer, another tribute band, comprised of “members of the extended Grateful Dead family,” have also released a brief spring itinerary. Former Dead keyboardist Tom Constanten, as well as Melvin Seals from the Jerry Garcia Band, and guitarist Mark Karan of Ratdog (Bob Weir’s band) have all signed up to embark on a national trek this April.
The hybrid ensemble have booked five back-to-back shows beginning on April 11. That’s when Terrapin Flyer will jam out with their fans in Grand Rapids, MI, for one night only at Founder’s Brewing. April 12 will see the group in Tremont for the first of two Illinois shows, where they’ll visit The Spotlight, followed by Chicago’s Martyrs’ on the 13th. It’s on to The Mousetrap in Indianapolis, IN, for their performance on the 14th, and then 2720 Cherokee for Terrapin Flyers’ final show (as of now) in St. Louis, MO, on April 15.
Discount tickets to the Dead devotees’ upcoming tour aren’t available yet, but be sure to check back here in the weeks ahead as more begin to sell!
