Straight out of Berkeley, CA., metal band Testament have announced a 2013 headlining tour of North America. Kicking off on January 30, at The Fillmore in San Francisco, the band will be on the road for the tail end of January and the duration of February. They’ll play several shows in New York, Texas and California, making sure to spread the Testament love evenly throughout all the coasts. The tour wraps up on February 28, with a show in Sacramento, CA. Overkill and Flotsam and Jetsam will act as support.

Of course, life on the road is nothing new for Testament, a band who has been playing music together for nearly 30 years. Guitarist Alex Skolnick said of the upcoming shows, “This tour will be a ‘must see’ for fans who remember the early days of thrash/speed metal as well as those whose age is younger than the genre itself.” VIP ticket packages will be made available for purchase, and include lots o’ swag plus a chance to win an Eric Peterson signature Dean guitar signed by the band.
