The Antlers have a new record hitting the shelves on June 17 (it will be called Familiars, out via Anti- in the United States), so it’s no surprise that they’ve planned a bit of a tour—a North American tour, to be exact—for this summer. The band will start with a show at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA, and then continue through Philadelphia, PA; Columbus, OH; Toronto, ON; Minneapolis, MN; Kansas City, MO; Seattle, WA; Salt Lake City, UT; San Francisco, CA; Raleigh, NC; and Washington, DC; among others. The tour’s final stop will be a homecoming for the Brooklyn-based band: they’ll be playing at New York City’s Webster Hall on July 26. Tickets for the tour will hit the market this Friday, April 11.

Familiars is the Antlers’ fourth studio album and is the first full album (they’ve released EPs [together] in 2011 and Undersea in 2012) since 2011’s Burst Apart. The Antlers was originally a solo project created by vocalist and guitarist Peter Silberman. He recorded two albums—Uprooted and In the Attic of the Universe—alone before enlisting Michael Lerner and Darby Cicci to join the group. The band’s name is taken from a song by the group The Microphones, entitled “Antlers.”
