The Avett Brothers & Old Crow Medicine Show Tour
Old Crow Medicine Show and The Avett Brothers are combining their folksy, Americana forces for a short arena tour to take place early next year. The two bands will kick off in late February in Fairfax, VA, and then move through Pittsburgh, PA; Brooklyn, NY, and Boston, MA (we told you it was a short run). Pre-sale tickets are available as of noon on Tuesday, October 15, and the public on-sale begins Friday, October 18. Get ready to pick them up and start 2014 off right with great tunes and good times.

So what’s up with these two bands? Well, the Avett Brothers are hot off the release of their eighth studio album, Magpie and the Dandelion, and Old Crow Medicine Show was just inducted into Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry in a special ceremony on September 17 of this year. OCMS’s last album was 2012’s Carry Me Back, which peeked at No. 1 on the Billboard Bluegrass chart. Before their most recent release, The Avett Brothers’ were busy promoting 2012’s The Carpenter, which peeked at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard chart.
