The Black Keys To Play Vegas For NYE

The Black Keys know how they will be ringing in 2013. Playing two dates with The Divine Fits, the boys from Akron will rock out at The Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on December 30 and December 31.
Their “El Camino” album has been huge these past 12 months and they have played to sold out shows across the globe. What better way to cap out a great 2012 than a gig in Vegas?

London can’t get enough of The Black Keys. Akron’s biggest musical import (remember King James calls Akron home as well) announced that they are adding a second show at the O2 Arena in London on December 13.
Come December it will be about one year since the duo released their HUGE album “El Camino” and they have toured and toured and toured in support of it – in the U.S. and across the globe to sold out crowds. The Black Keys have added a string of UK tour dates to their fall and winter lineup. The five-show run will begin in Glasgow December 7 and end in London less than a week later, on December 12. The Grammy Award-winning and very unassuming duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, who emerged out of Akron, OH, more than a decade ago, are now on tour continuing their meteoric rise into the 21st century of pop. Garage-blues-rock, that could very well have been prominent in the 60s, has made The Black Keys one of the biggest bands in the world. Thanks to their two most recent albums, Brothers and El Camino, the Keys have given the flow of funk to a wide and diverse array of fans. From lo-fi quality basement recordings, to worldwide main-stage venues, The Black Keys have journeyed a long way with no intention of slowing down.

Currently in the U.K., they will be touring on the West Coast of the U.S. from the end of September till mid October, sharing the stage with the likes of Weezer, Red Hot Chili Peppers,Tegan and Sara, The Shins, and Florence and the Machine. Immediately after, the tour continues overseas in Portugal, Italy, Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands.
