The Black Keys 2012 Tour Dates Announced
The Black Keys have added additional 2012 tour dates to extend their wildly successful ‘El Camino’ tour. The guys have bolstered some more stops in October, in which Canadian indie rockers Tegan and Sara will be opening select shows. After playing Europe throughout the month of August, the group will take September off before hitting the road again in October. Having just announced a new series of dates in October stateside, Dan and Patrick continue to plug away in support of their latest critically acclaimed album “El Camino” which still resides among the top 25 albums on iTunes after being released back in December. Tickets for these new shows go on sale May 18 except for Santa Barbara and San Diego, which go on sale May 19. It was also recently reported by SPIN that director Noah Abrams is filming a documentary following the band through their 2012 tour. Abrams plans to shoot through August, wrapping the doc in time for a summer 2013 release in time for festival season. The film should be finishing up with The Black Keys’ Lollapalooza 2012 performance.
The band has also been announced as a headliner for Coachella 2013, along with Radiohead, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

The hard working duo from Akron have been…working hard on a new album, which drops December 6th. They’ve already thrown up a pretty contagious video for their first single, “Lonely Boy.”
The Black Keys don’t stop teasing us there. Dan and Patrick have given us five tracks off of “El Camino,” improving and bringing back their loose sounds from “Brothers,” utilizing some great harmonies and back up chorals.
