The Bouncing Souls Come ‘Home For The Holidays’
New Jersey-born punk-rock band The Bouncing Souls have announced their plans for their annual “Home for the Holidays” shows. They’re returning to Asbury Park’s Stone Pony (unofficial home of Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen) for shows on December 26, 27, and 28. Ticketing plus lineups and after party plans will be revealed on October 6, and tickets will be on sale to the general public as of October 10, with a presale starting on The Bouncing Souls’ website on October 7. If you’re bound out west, The Bouncing Souls will also be playing shows on December 30 and December 31 at The Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO. For more information on ticketing for those shows, visit The Bouncing Souls’ website.
Formed in Basking Ridge, NJ, The Bouncing Souls moved to New Brunswick, NJ after high school to play their music. Why? It’s the home of Rutgers University, and even though, they decided to forgo college, they thought living in a college town would be a great way to get their underground music supported. They released their first full-length album The Good, The Bad & The Argyle in 1994. The band got their name from a staple of the punk wardrobe—“with bouncing souls” was a slogan for Doc Martens shoes.
