The Darkness, currently serving as a support act for Lady Gaga on her world tour, have announced plans for a headlining tour of their own in 2013. Having reunited this year for a tour, it looks like the band getting back together again is a longer-term reality. The band released their reunion album Hot Cakes earlier this year, hence the genesis of the tour’s name – “Let Them Eat Cakes” world tour.

The 16 North American dates of their tour will kick off January 10 in Fort Lauderdale and will visit cities such as Orlando, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis before wrapping up on February 2 in Aspen. The band then heads across the seas to play shows in Europe, New Zealand and Australia throughout February, March and April.
