The Felice Brothers Plan Short, Year-End Tour
The Felice Brothers Tour
Looking for a little folk-rock fun come this fall? How about a trip to see The Felice Brothers? The upstate New York-based band is headed out for a short jaunt, playing shows in Hamden, CT; Kingston, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, D.C.; Brooklyn, NY; and Boston, MA, from late October to New Year’s Eve. Tickets for all shows are on sale now, so ring in the New Year (if you’re in Boston, at least) with plenty of frolicking, funky folk tunes.
So how did The Felice Brothers get their start? As buskers on the New York City subway, specifically at the 42nd Street Times Square and 14th Street Union Square stations. Sons of a carpenter, the brothers would jam out post-barbecue on Sunday afternoons, using a Brooklyn apartment as their home base. So next time you see a musician in the subway, watch out: he or she could be the next big thing.
