After a successful UK arena tour earlier this year, and opening stints for Bon Jovi and Metallica, The Gaslight Anthem is back. This time, the New Jersey natives will tour the United Kingdom throughout March of next year, playing nine dates spanning the last week of the month. The tour begins on March 21, at O2 Academy in Bristol (the first of two performances at the venue). After that it’s off to Leeds, Glasgow and Manchester, before playing two shows, on the 29th and 30th, at Troxy in London.
The Gaslight Anthem have been making waves on the indie scene since 2007, when they released their debut album, Sink or Swim through XOXO Records. Since then, the four-piece band from New Brunswick have gone on to release three more full-length albums, all to much critical praise. The most recent, Handwritten, was released earlier this year and received 72/100 on Metacritic (a music review aggregator), and peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
