‘The Hunger Games’ Festival to Tour U.S., Possible Theme Park In Works
Will you volunteer as tribute? You may have to, when The Hunger Games hits the road to a city near you. To correspond with the release of the Mockingjay films, “The Hunger Games: The Exhibition” will tour the United States in the summer of 2015. Featured in major museums and other institutions across the country, fans will be able to see interactive displays, props, costumes, and other elements of the Districts. In fact, this could be a step towards a The Hunger Games theme park. Want more information? Stay tuned for ticketing details, cities, and more with Katniss, Peeta, and the gang. May the odds be ever in your favor (couldn’t resist).
Written by Suzanne Collins (who also used to write for Clarissa Explains It All), The Hunger Games trilogy tells the tale of a dystopian future in North America where residents of different geographic regions are divided into districts—these residents are forced to fight to death in an annual competition until a victor emerges. The first book’s movie adaptation hit the screen in 2012 and the second in 2013, with the third book split into two films to be released in 2014 and 2015.
