The Melvins Celebrate 30th Anniversary with a Summer Tour
The Melvins Tour
The Melvins – an American rock n’ roll band who formed back in 1983 – have just announced a tour. The tour will help to celebrate the 30th anniversary since the group began. While they’ve been around for a while, the band doesn’t seem to have slowed down at all: they recently set a world record by performing in all 50 states in a 51-day span. The group will release a cover album entitled, Everybody Loves Sausage, on April 30. The anniversary tour will start on July 12 and conclude on August 22.

The fun kicks off in Phoenix, AZ, at the Crescent Ballroom. July stops will be primarily in the Midwest, highlighted by Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago and St. Louis. Underground Arts will host the first concert of August in Philadelphia, PA, on August 1. Southern US tour stops will include Atlanta, New Orleans, Dallas and Austin. Canada will get into the mix with a show in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom on August 19. Slim’s in San Francisco will be the site of the finish line for The Melvins’ tour.
