Polyphonic Spree Announce Winter/10th Anniversary Tour
Everybody’s favorite choral rock band (OK, maybe the only choral rock band), The Polyphonic Spree, have announced a “Holiday Extravaganza!” tour slated for the coming December. The tour is in support of their latest release – a holiday album – called Holidaydream: Sounds of the Holidays Volume One, and is set to come out on October 23. The tour begins on December 6 in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theatre, followed by gigs in San Francisco, Chicago, Philly, and New York City. The tour wraps up on December 22 in Dallas at the Lakewood Theatre. The tour will also serve as a celebration for the band’s 10th anniversary.

Since The Polyphonic Spree began 10 years ago, they’ve released three studio albums, three EPs, three live DVDs, and have been included in a slew of film and television soundtracks. Their current line-up includes over 20 members, the most notable member being Tim DeLaughter, lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist. In 2009, the band wrote and performed the opening theme song to the Showtime series, “The United States of Tara.” So, I guess now they can finally afford to pay all the members of the band. Check out this massive crew when they tour the US this winter.
