Southern rockers The Sheepdogs have announced they will close out the year by touring their homeland of Canada. The tour will run from November 3 through December 20, with the majority of the shows being performed throughout Ontario. The tour opener will take place in Barrie, Ontario and move through Chatham, Ottawa, Halifax, and St. John’s. Also on the docket are stops in Quebec, Saskatoon and British Columbia. The last show of the tour will take place in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom. Yukon Blonde, Sloan and Randy Bachman will act as support for varying dates.

The Sheepdogs were thrust into the spotlight last year after winning Rolling Stone magazine’s “Choose The Cover” competition. Beating out 15 bands, The Sheepdogs performed on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and were chosen as the fan favorite. They are the first unsigned band to ever appear on the cover of Rolling Stone. Before winning the competition, The Sheepdogs had already released three studio albums and one EP. Their latest, self-titled release debuted at No. 1 in Canada, and was produced by The Black Keys drummer, Patrick Carney.
