The Who have announced a supporting act for the North American leg of their upcoming QUADROPHENIA tour. The lucky ensemble slated to perform on the same stage as the rock legends is Vintage Trouble, a nascent soul quartet first formed back in 2010. Though they only have two years’ worth of performances and one album to their name, the LA group has already toured alongside the likes of Bon Jovi and Brian May from Queen. Vintage Trouble will play a happy second fiddle to The Who from November 1 to December 9, but in the meantime, you can catch them live at one of their October shows:

In an interesting twist with “The Who’s upcoming reunion tour, where they will take Quadrophenia across the United States, the band apparently has not forgotten a tragic incident way back in 1979 that impacted the band’s performance in Rhode Island.

The band’s appearance in Providence at the now Dunkin’ Donuts Center was canceled after the death of 11 fans at Cincinnati’s Riverfront Coliseum after fans rushed in to get the best seats in the house.

The Who announced that anyone still holding their tickets for that show can exchange them for tickets to the band’s performance at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on February 26, which is actually the last date of the tour.

According to Pollstar, tickets for The Who in 1979 had a face value of $14 versus a range of $57.50 to $127.50 today.

Big News: The Who Reunited & On Tour!

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are reuniting in a big way this fall and winter. With the news that The Who have reunited for a tour of the United States (original members John Entwistle, Keith Moon and Kenney Jones have all passed away), comes great excitement. I mean this is one of the biggest names in the history of rock music.

The tour is slated to have the band perform their classic double album “Quadrophenia” in its entirety across the country. The album spawned classic hits such as “5.15,” “Love, Reign o’er Me,” and “The Real Me.”

This is not the first time that The Who have performed “Quadrophenia” on tour. Daltrey and Townshend took it on the road back in 1996 and 1997 across North America and Europe.

Members of The Who’s official fan club will be given priority access to purchase tickets beginning at 10 a.m. July 20. An American Express presale begins July 23 and general onsales launch July 27.
