Long Island-based crooner Billy Joel is already well into his residency at Madison Square Garden, he’s recently been a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and he has his own (for a limited time) station on SiriusXM radio. Now, Joel has announced his next move: a special “Town Hall” event with Howard Stern on April 28 from an undisclosed location in New York City. The event will be broadcast on Howard Stern’s channel Howard 100, as well as on Joel’s own The Billy Joel Channel (formerly 40son4). It’s set to feature a variety of special guests and performances, most of which are yet to be confirmed. Tickets are not for sale – instead, SiriusXM subscribers can register for them (more info below).
William Martin “Billy” Joel is the sixth best-selling recording artist and the third best-selling solo artist in United States history. He’s had 33 Top 40 hits in the U.S. alone (all self-penned, of course), and he has sold 150 million records worldwide. Joel is a six-time Grammy Award winner (he’s been nominated for 23), and in 2013 received the Kennedy Center Honors.
