The National to Play Benefit Show at the Troubadour
Indie-rockers The National have announced a show on October 16 show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. The intimate event will serve as a fundraiser for the nonprofit Cooperative for Education, which helps fund sustainable school supplies for poverty-stricken students in Guatemala.
Of the event, frontman Matt Berninger said, “CoEd has already reached more than 150,000 kids with textbooks and computers, and now they’re taking on girls’ education. I’m excited to join the effort to keep 1,000 girls from dropping out of school, which is so common in Guatemala. I’m really proud to be a part of this amazing organization.”
Tickets go on sale August 21. With the capacity capping at 400 people, these tickets will likely sell out quickly. Stay tuned to SeatGeek to get your hands on secondary tickets as they become available.
