Joe Russo’s Almost Dead to Play at NYC’s Marlin Room
Now that the Grateful Dead is officially coming to an end, heads everywhere are looking for the next way to get their fix. Enter: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. Featuring drummer Joe Russo, pianist Marco Benevento, guitarists Tom Hamilton and Scott Metzger, and bassist Dave Dreiwitz, this supergroup is bringing new, young life into old Dead tunes.
While many fans got the chance to see Almost Dead when they toured earlier this winter, none of them got to see the band in as intimate a setting as their most recently announced show happening at the Marlin Room in NYC on June 3. With a capacity of just 600 people, Webster Hall’s Marlin Room will house the epic five-piece band for a night of killer music, all benefiting the Songs of Love organization.
Joe Russo’s Almost Dead NYC Marlin Room Tickets
Because the small size of the venue, and likely to prevent scalping, no physical copies of tickets will actually be distributed. All names will be placed on a guest list, and tickets are very limited. VIP passes are sold out, but you can get a general admission ticket for $125. Remember, all proceeds go to Songs of Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing personalized uplifting songs, free of charge, for children and teens currently facing tough medical, physical or emotional challenges.
