Fall Out Boy Bio

If you’re a millennial, Fall Out Boy’s debut album, Take This To Your Grave, brings out a certain amount of adolescent nostalgia, with those extra-long song titles just whipping you into memories of awkward first dates and hoodie sweatshirts. Just four guys from Illinois—vocalist/guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley—Fall Out Boy was formed in the usual rock band way, playing underground clubs and garages in their teens. Their major label debut, From Under The Cork Tree, went double-platinum, selling over 2.7 million albums in the United States alone and giving the world the singles, “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” and “Dance, Dance”. With this success, more albums followed, with the band releasing Infinity on High came in 2007 and Folie a Deux in 2008. Fall Out Boy went on hiatus in 2009, with all four members pursuing side projects. Guess they just needed a break, eh?
