While tour announcements are tapering off as the holidays draw near, there are still a couple gems that revealed their live music plans for 2016.
Ben Folds & yMusic Tour
In keeping with the spirit of their recent collaborative album, So There, Ben Folds and yMusic are hitting the road for a lengthy U.S. tour. They’ll hit the road for the tail end of spring, beginning with a show in Oklahoma City, OK, on April 13. Click here for tickets.
Mac DeMarco May Tour Dates
In addition to his previously scheduled Australian and New Zealand tour taking place this January, Mac DeMarco has just announced a North American tour. The rapper–who just relaunched his website and has created a Mom-managed fan club–will hit the road from May 12 to June 2, kicking off with a show at Philly’s Electric Factory. Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Northeast Run
Currently the hottest Grateful Dead-inspired band around, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, has announced their next (and possibly last… at least for a while) tour. The string of shows will take place in the Northeast, beginning on February 10 in D.C. and wrapping up on February 14 in Burlington, VT. Click here for tickets.
Death Cab for Cutie Winter Tour
After spending a chunk of 2015 on the road promoting their new album, Kintsugi, Death Cab for Cutie has announced a winter tour. It will kick off on December 8 in Seattle, WA, at KeyArena, followed by a run of shows on the Pacific Northwest. They’ll also hit the road with Metric during March. Click here for tickets.
Animal Collective World Tour Dates
Animal Collective made news last week with the announcement of their new album, and now the trippy trio have revealed details of a lengthy world tour. Kicking off on February 19 at Union Transfer in Philadelphia, the trek will include dates throughout the U.S., Germany and the UK, with Ratking on tap as support. Click here for tickets.
