We can’t believe it’s already February. This means we’re one month closer to spring, not that we’re keeping track. This month there will be some pretty amazing artists performing around town, so let’s kick it off right with this week’s list.
From Nitti Gritti to Sarah McLachlan, here are the top concerts happening in Houston this week.
Adrian Marcel @ Warehouse Live
Thursday, February 6 | 7:30PM
Kickstart your weekend on Thursday at Warehouse Live to watch Adrian Marcel perform. With his hit single, “2AM.,” reaching over 55 million streams on Spotify, you wouldn’t want to miss this concert. Adrian Marcel started out in 2013 when he released his first mixtape. That mixtape was presented by Raphael Saadiq, Grammy award-winning musician, who took Adrian under his wing as his protégé. Adrian’s music has a trendy blend of hip-hop and trap beats that will have you dancing to each song.
Ron Pope @ House of Blues Houston
Monday, February 3 | 7PM
You might recognize Ron Pope from his hit song, “A Drop In The Ocean,” and you can watch him perform it this Monday night at House of Blues Houston. He is currently on a 16-city tour around North America, and you have a chance to listen to him perform near you! His indie rock/pop music has entranced millions to fall in love with him. His tour will be going through until the end of February, so grab tickets on SeatGeek now for as low as $20.
Sarah McLachlan @ Hobby Center
Thursday, February 6 | 8PM
Sarah McLachlan is the creator of the saddest song you can use for any animal rescue organization’s commercial. If you want people to feel sorry for you, I recommend having her song, “Angel,” play on a loop until you get your point across. This Thursday night, you can listen to her sing it live at the Hobby Center. Get ready for tears and the overwhelming urge to donate money to the ASPCA. Her emotional ballads could make even the toughest man shed a tear.
The Devil Makes Three @ White Oak Music Hall
Thursday, February 6 | 8PM
This Thursday night, enjoy a delightful mixture of bluegrass, country, jazz, and ragtime music with The Devil Makes Three. This drummer-less, acoustic trio has been playing their twangy music since 2002 and we hope it never ends. They’ll be performing at the White Oak Music Hall and you can grab tickets for as low as $39.
Jon Wolfe @ Armadillo Palace
Saturday, February 8 | 9PM
If you’re looking for country music that will make you want to put on your cowboy hat and own a pickup truck, you’ve come to the right show. This Saturday night, get ready to get swooned by the deep voice of Jon Wolfe, playing at the Armadillo Palace. How fitting. His most popular song, “Boots on a Dance Floor,” is the perfect example of the kind of music Jon releases. Grab a ticket for just $21 on SeatGeek, and lets honky tonk the night away.
Colter Wall @ White Oak Music Hall
Friday, February 7 | 7PM
Colter Wall may have only started in 2015, but he has blossomed into an amazing outlaw country singer you need to see. This Friday night, watch him perform at the White Oak Music Hall for as low as $40 on SeatGeek. Colter is currently on his Songs of the Plain tour which will be going through May. Don’t miss out on the chance to catch his show!
Nitti Gritti @ Stereo Live Houston
Friday, February 7 | 10PM
The idea of going out to see a show at 10PM, which is 30 minutes past my usual bedtime, seems insane to me. For those late night owls and EDM fans, Nitti Gritti will be performing at Stereo Live Houston this Friday night. Nitti Gritti uses unique beats and elements from different styles of EDM music, such as dubstep, and mixes it with rap to create catchy mixes with amazing drops. This show will be absolutely amazing. I can’t be completely sure though, because I will be asleep.
