Old bands saying goodbye, new bands saying hello. Plus, some bands that just won’t go away. Here’s who we’re most excited to see hit the road.
R. Kelly ‘The Buffet’ Tour
In support of his most recent studio album, The Buffet, R. Kelly has announced a spring/summer tour. (Something tells us when he says “buffet” he’s not talking about the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday.) Slated for April 21 to June 11, catch the singer throughout the Midwest and Southeast. Click here for more info.
Animal Collective Summer/Fall Tour
Animal Collective, one of the only bands you still listen to from your indie college days, have announced another batch of concerts. The fresh dates come while the group is still in the midst of a lengthy jaunt, and kicks off on June 3 with a slot at Primavera Sound. Catch them stateside starting September 20 until November 14. Steve Miller Band Summer Tour
Upcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Steve Miller, is hitting the road for a big ol’ summer tour. The three-month run will see the musical icon mainly throughout the Midwest and South, wrapping up with an epic concert alongside Journey, Santana and The Doobie Brothers on September 4 in San Francisco. The Claypool Lennon Delirium Summer Tour
If you’ve been following summer festival announcements, you may already know about The Claypool Lennon Delirium. One part Les Claypool, one part Sean Lennon, this new supergroup has just announced their full touring plans, plus details of an upcoming album due out on June 3. The Go-Go’s Farewell Tour
After 38 years as a band, the Go-Go’s are go-ing farewell. But before they take their last bow on August 30 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, they’ll spend the month touring North America to perform for fans one last time.
