Sludge metal band Torche is all set to release their fourth studio album, Restarter, on February 24 via Relapse Records. In an interview with Rolling Stone conducted earlier this year, bassist Jonathan Nuñez said that the album will include “heavy, melodic crushers…and heavy ‘80s pop song vibes.” To commemorate the occasion, Torche is hitting the road for a short tour, starting things off with a show at Bogart’s in Cincinnati, OH, on December 27. Torche will then move to Cleveland, OH; Sayreville, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; Lake Buena Vista, FL; New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX (at the House of Blues); Tulsa, OK; and Austin, TX, for a show at Emo’s on January 10. In the spring, the band will head across the pond for shows in the United Kingdom, France, and Ireland. For information on ticketing and onsale dates, visit Torche’s website.

Formed in Miami, FL, in 2004, Torche has released three full-length studio albums, four EPs, two split albums, and three singles. The band is currently comprised of guitarist and vocalist Steve Brooks, bassist Jonathan Nuñez, drummer Rick Smith, and guitarist and vocalist Andrew Elstner.
