Tori Kelly has announced new date behind her album Inspired By True Events. The pop and gospel singer will play through the deepest parts of winter at venues throughout the United States and Canada. While the weather outside might be frightfully cold, Kelly promises her fans a warm and intimate night of personal connection over her vulnerable recent collection of songs

“Playing these songs live is a reminder that everyone goes through these sorts of things, and we all need to know that we’re not alone,” Kelly revealed in a press release. “If I were to put out an album that didn’t talk about these personal stories, I would just be faking it and hiding from the truth. It turns out that the uncomfortable place was the most honest and true. It was right where I needed to be, and from there I could tell my story.”

Kelly will begin her North American tour at Cleveland’s House of Blues on January 28. Stops in Boston and New York follow before Kelly makes a Canadian detour toward Toronto’ Meridian Hall. She quickly heads south after that, playing The Anthem in DC, Raleigh’s Ritz and the Alabama Theatre in rapid succession. Kelly turns back north briefly for dates at Madison’s Sylvee and Chicago’s Riviera Theatre. A run of Texas dates carries her westward toward shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles before she closes out the tour with a show at Anaheim’s House of Blues.
