Toro y Moi Taking His Synth Sound on the Road in 2013
Toro Y Moi, aka Chaz Bundwick, has announced a headlining tour slated for early 2013. The tour is in support of his third full-length studio album, Anything in Return, which is due out on January 22. The shows kick off on January 16 with a performance in Istanbul, and after a slew of international dates, Toro Y Moi will touch down in Phoenix, AZ, on January 30, with a gig at the Crescent Ballroom. The synth-y singer will make multiple stops in Texas, through the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and East Coast, before wrapping things up on April 6 with a show in Santiago, CL (as part of Lollapalooza Chile).

The music of Toro y Moi combines strong elements of synth with electronic sensibilities, with sprinkles of funk and dance thrown in. The result? A sound that gives a nod to dance hits of the ’70s, but maintains a completely modern identity. Since he began recording music under the Toro y Moi alias in 2007, Bundwick has released three LPs, six EPs, and a slew of remixes and demos.
