Phish Fall Tour Ends, TAB Announces Tour Dates
Trey Anastasio Band Tour
Phish frontman Trey Anastasio announced that he’ll be taking TAB on the road for 13 gigs in 11 cities. The Trey Anastasio Band will kick off its 2014 winter tour with a two-night stand at Denver’s Ogden Theatre on January 28, and includes stops in Missouri, Minnesota, and a rare swing through NOLA with two performances at the House of Blues. The rest of the dates are concentrated in the Midwest and the Southeast, leaving all of the East coast Phish heads sadly exclaiming, “what about us?!” The final stop on the tour takes place at The Egyptian Ballroom in Indianapolis, IN, on February 15.
While Phish has now been together for 30 years, the Trey Anastasio Band debuted about 15 years ago, acting as the breeding ground for hits like “Gotta’ Jibboo,” “Sand” and “First Tube.” The upcoming TAB tour will be the first time they’ve returned to New Orleans since 2005, and their first ever visit to Orlando. While it was a busy year for Phish, including a stacked fall tour, the debut performance of their new album Wingsuit, and their upcoming New Year’s Eve run at MSG, it doesn’t look like Trey has any plans of slowing down things for TAB. Check out their latest album, last year’s Traveler.
