Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (who are currently set to play some shows throughout June and July) will bring their unique take on New Orleans brass music on the road this August, going into September and October. The guys will start things off at the Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI, on August 2. From there they’ll hit Lollapalooza in Chicago on August 3 and then make their way through the Midwest, eventually landing on the West Coast and playing the Oregon Zoo in Portland on August 16. After a few more shows in the Pacific Northwest, the band will head down to play throughout Southern California and Nevada. They’ll fly back East for show in Atlantic City on August 29 and then run through Pennsylvania, Missouri, Virginia, Colorado, and back into California. The group will finish up with a show at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX on October 17 and then play the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Festival in Clearwater, FL, on October 19.

Born and raised in a family of New Orleans’ musician in the city’s famed Treme neighborhood, Troy Andrews (AKA Trombone Shorty) is a renown trombone player who’s worked with different musicians in a variety of genres, as well as released several solo records. His band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue mixes hip-hop, rock, and funk and are known for their raucous live shows.
