Ty Segall Shredding All Over the World
Could Ty Segall become America’s next rock icon? The notorious guitar shredder has been causing a lot of buzz lately – first, with his performance at this year’s Pitchfork Musical Festival, followed by an epic performance on a recent Chicago morning news show. He’ll also be making his first late-night television debut October 16, on Conan. If you missed all that, and aren’t a Conan fan, have no fear: the Cali-based multi-instrumentalist has announced a winter tour that will see him throughout the U.S., the U.K. and Canada.

The tour kicks off on October 14 at San Francisco’s Treasure Island Festival, followed by 24 dates in the United Kingdom, including stops in France, Germany and England. Upon his return to the states, Segall will perform in Seattle, California and several cities in Texas, as well as a slew of shows on the East Coast. The tour wraps up in 2013, with a show on February 11 in Denver, CO, at Hi-Dive. K-Holes, Night Beats, Pangea, and Ex-Cult will act as support for varying dates. The tour will also serve as a way to promote Segall’s latest three LPs, with solo disc Twins released earlier this week.
