Prog-rock group Umphrey’s McGee is hitting the road this fall. The guys will kick things off at the House of Blues in Cleveland on October 22. From there, it’s on to shows in Niagara Falls, Pittsburgh and Grand Rapids, MI. They’ll play the Forum Theatre in Binghamton, NY, on October 29, followed by a show in Pennsylvania. The band will take over the House of Blues in Boston from October 31 to November 1 and then go on to performances in Michigan and Florida. They’ll finish up with a series of shows at the Tabernacle in Atlanta from December 3 to 7 and again on December 30 to January 3.
Formed in the mid 1990s in South Bend, Indiana, Umphrey’s McGee has gained a healthy following due to their mix of jam band approach to live performances and progressive rock sound. The group has released an equal number of live to studio albums. At its core, the bands’ lineup as consisted of members Brendon Bayliss (guitar, vocals), Joel Commins (keyboards, vocals) and Ryan Stasik (bassists).
