Unknown Mortal Orchestra Touring North America and Europe
In four short years, Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s accomplished a lot! Singer-songwriter Ruban Nielson, bassist Jake Portrait, and drummer Riley Geare make up the group known for the 2013 hit “So Good at Being in Trouble.” The indie rock band from Portland, OR by way of Auckland, NZ, released their second studio album early last year. While they spent 2013 mostly touring in support of II (during which they were named one of SXSW’s must-see artists), they are back on the road again starting this summer.
While the band’s tour started out on May 15 in Seattle, the band’s trek will take them back and forth between North America and Europe. After their June 6 stop in Los Angeles at the Natural History Museum, they will be making a stop in Lisbon at Optimus Alive! on July 12. In early August, the group will be playing at Pickathon Music Festival on August 1-3 in Happy Valley, OR. Their next international stop will be Mexico City for the Ceremonia Festival on August 16. September will find the band between several European cities: Milan on September 2, Poland on September 5, and Reykjavik from November 5 to November 9 at the Iceland Airwaves festival.
