Volbeat Will Tour the United States and Canada in 2013
Volbeat, the Copenhagen-based band who perform a blend of rock, groove, metal, and punk, have announced plans for a spring tour. I know what you’re thinking: Who doesn’t love themselves some good Danish rock? Apparently a lot of people agree, seeing as since the band’s formation in 2000, several of their albums have gone on to be certified platinum, double-platinum and gold. The band will be touring in support of their fourth studio album, Beyond Hell / Above Heaven, which was released back in 2010, and charted in the top 10 in basically every country but America.

The extensive tour will see the band in the United States and Canada, and Canadian musician Danko Jones will act as support. It kicks off on March 6, in Dallas, at the Palladium Ballroom. This is the first in a string of many Southern shows, including a gig at the Lonestar Pavilion in Lubbock, TX. Volbeat will make their way to Canada on March 24, performing at MacEwen Hall in Calgary, the first of seven Canadian stops. The tour wraps up on April 11, with a show at Philly’s Trocadero.
