If you know anything about Wale, you know he’s a big Jerry Seinfeld fan—he paid tribute to Seinfeld’s eponymous show with his 2008 mixtape, The Mixtape About Nothing, which included samples from the series. The Seinfeld love keeps coming, too—Wale will release The Album About Nothing early next year (hopefully), and he’s going on tour (The Simple Nothing Tour) to support it. Wale starts off January 1 in Silver Spring, MD, at The Fillmore, and then journeys to cities like Philadelphia, PA; New York, NY (at Irving Plaza); Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA (at The Fillmore); Austin, TX; New Orleans, LA; Charlotte, NC; Richmond, VA; and Norfolk, VA. Tickets for all shows are on sale now. For more information about ticketing options and more tour dates, visit Wale’s website.

Born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin in Washington, DC, in 1984, Wale rose to prominence when his song “Dig Dug (Shake It)” became popular locally. Producer and singer Mark Ronson noticed Wale, signing him to Allido Records in 2007. After a few mixtapes, Wale then signed with Interscope for $1.3 million. His debut album, Attention Deficit, was released via Interscope in 2009.
