Alfred Matthew Yankovic, otherwise known as Weird Al, is set to get back on the road as he takes his weird and goofy talent on tour this upcoming spring and summer. The tour is scheduled to open on April 10 in Raleigh, NC, at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. The tour then will go throughout all of April and come to a close at Bonnaroo Festival on June 14-16 in Manchester, TN, at The Great Stage Park. Weird Al hasn’t come out with an album since 2011’s Apocalypse. The 54-year-old is ready to go crazy with his fellow fans at these upcoming concerts.
Weird Al has music that is very similar to bands like The Barenaked Ladies, Tenacious D, Cake, The Lonely Island, and Electric Six. He is technically known as a comedian, but his parodies and satire lean toward the pop/rock genre. The video that is posted below pretty much sums up how weird and funny Al is, and what his music is like. The song, “Dare To Be Stupid,” is one of his hit singles and also featured in the movie “Transformers.”
