Weird Al Yankovic is hitting the road for a tour unlike any other. The prolific parody performer will ditch the props, costumes and onstage antics for a more stripped down live experience. Dubbed The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour, Yankovic has declared that this is one for the long-time, hardcore fans.

“…We’re really pulling out the deep cuts for this show. We’re rehearsing 50 or 60 songs, most of which we’ve either never played live before, or haven’t played in decades,” Yankovic told Nerdist.com. The musician also said in a statement: “We’re just going to walk out on stage, sit down on stools, and play a bunch of old songs. Oh, and we’re going to be performing almost exclusively originals (i.e. not parodies).”

The (very) long tour will take place at theaters and music halls across North America. It kicks off on February 27 in Poughkeepsie, NY at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House, followed by stops in Boston, Montreal, NYC, Chicago, Atlanta and more. The second leg of dates takes place on the West Coast, with a chunk of California gigs from May 9 to May 22. After several stops throughout Alberta, Canada, the tour wraps up on June 10 in Green Bay, WI. Emo Philips will join Yankovic as tour support for every stop.
