Hardcore fans, rejoice: Emmure and Whitechapel have announced a co-headlining “Brothers of Brutality” tour, slated for early 2013. The 21-date tour will also feature support from artists Unearth, The Plot in You, and Obey The Brave. It kicks off on January 8, in Knoxville, TN, at The Valarium. Heavy with dates in the Midwest, South and West Coast, the boys won’t be making their way to the coastest with the mostest (that’s us over here on the East Coast) until February 8, when they stop in Worcester, MA, at the Palladium. The tour wraps up on February 11., with a gig at New York City’s Irving Plaza.

Emmure began attracting attention to themselves in 2005, when they self-release two demos: Nine Eleven Zero Four, and Demo 2005. This City is Burning Records signed them, and helped them release their debut album – a six-track, 19-minute effort – that got them on the metalcore map. Whitechapel, on the other hand, is signed to Metal Blade Records, a label with which they have managed to chart on Billboard and share the stage with Cannibal Corpse and The Black Dahlia Murder. With these two bands at the helm, this tour is surely going to knock the socks off of any metal fan in attendance.
