Jam band and touring titans Widespread Panic have confirmed that they’ll be hitting the road this fall. They guys are currently in the middle of a summer tour, which wraps up in early July (though they will play at the Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport, CT, from July 31 – August 3). They’ll kick off the autumn shows with two-nights at the Lockn’ Festival in Arlington, VA, on September 6 and 7. After that it’s two nights at the Phases of the Moon festival in Danville, IL, on September 13 and 14. From there, it’s a leg through the South with shows in Charleston, SC, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi; and then a run through Texas. The guys will then play the Orpheum Theater in Memphis on October 18 and 19 and then go on to play a series of shows throughout the Midwest, including St, Louis, Milwaukee, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Ames, IA. They’ll finish up with a three-night engagement at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, CO, from October 31 to November 2.

Formed in 1986 in Athens, Georgia, Widespread Panic’s endurance and grueling touring schedule have earned them comparisons to The Grateful Dead and Phish. Over the years, they’ve put out eleven studio albums and ten live albums, but that’s not counting the numerous fan-made recordings of their concerts (which they openly allow and encourage).
