Country/folk/blues group The Wood Brothers just tacked on additional dates for their fall North American tour. The guys will start things off on June 26 at ROMP in Owensboro, KY. After that, it’s a series of shows in California and the Midwest before crossing the border to play the Winnipeg Folk Festival on July 10 and 11. They’ll then head on to shows in Telluride, CO, Washington state, Wyoming, and Oregon. Also on the docket are shows in New England and throughout the East Coast and Midwest, before wrapping things up with a southern leg for most of September. They’ll then play another series of Midwest shows from September 27 to October 3, before closing out the tour at Chicago’s Thalia Hall on October 4.
Comprising of brothers Chris and Oliver Wood (both of whom had spent years prior focusing on their own independent musical careers), and multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix, the Wood Brothers have been active since the early 2000s. Since their debut studio album, Ways Not to Lose, the group has released six more albums. Their latest release, 2013’s The Muse reached positions on the US charts for country, rock, folk and independent music.
