Wynonna Judd, country singer and half of the mother-daughter duo The Judds, is heading back on the road. This week, she announced plans for “Wynonna and Friends: Stories & Song”, a tour on which she’ll be backed by a three-piece band and her husband, producer Cactus Moser. Things start off on January 14 at the Carolina Theatre in Durham, NC, before heading to Alexandria, VA; Wabash, IN; Youngstown, OH; Boise, ID; Campbell, CA; Salina, KS; Lancaster, PA; Westbury, NY; Ashland, KY (Judd’s hometown); Williamsport, PA; and Niagara Falls, NY, before settling down in Boston, MA, on March 8 for a final show. During the shows, Judd will not only perform music but also detail the stories behind the songs, including inspiration and recording tales. As if a tour weren’t enough, Judd is expected to release a new album in 2015—the singer’s eighth. For more information about ticketing and on-sale dates, visit Judd’s website.

Born Christina Claire Ciminella, Wynonna Judd first rose to fame alongside her mother, Naomi, during their time in the country music group The Judds. They released seven albums together, including 26 singles and 14 No. 1 hits. She began a solo career in 1991. Besides her musical work, Judd is also a philanthropist, giving her time and money towards her favorite charities.
