Young the Giant Tour

Been chugging too much “Cough Syrup”? Well, you’re not seeing things: Young the Giant has just announced plans for the North American leg of their upcoming headlining tour. Kicking off at the Ventura Theatre in Ventura, California on February 4, the tour blows through Oakland, CA; Dallas, TX; Jacksonville, FL; New York, NY; Boston, MA; Detroit, MI; Kansas City, MO; Vancouver, BC; Las Vegas, NV; Columbus, OH; Calgary, AL, and many more. The tour is in support of the group’s sophomore album, Mind Over Matter, to be released January 21 via Fueled by Ramen. Support for the tour will be provided by Cayucas and Vance Joy (check your specific date to see just what’s what). Tickets for the tour are on sale now, so scoop them up while you can.

Formed in Irvine, CA, in 2004, Young the Giant is made up of Sameer Gadhia, Jacon Tilley, Eric Cannata, Payam Doostzadeh, and François Comtois. They once called themselves The Jakes, and released their eponymous album in 2010, with the singles, “My Body” and “Cough Syrup” creating considerable buzz for the band. The first single of their sophomore album, entitled “It’s About Time,” was released on October 28, 2013.
