Sometimes you see a tour that is so oddly paired, you have to wonder if they were separate outings glommed together in the name of ticket sales. Young Thug and Machine Gun Kelly would be one such tour–if Thugger hadn’t made an entire career out of subverting what the wider world expects him to do.

The rapper behind the most successful no-show of all time in “Wyclef Jean” will be hitting the road with MGK, a rapper best-known for losing a recent rap beef to Eminem. Does this mean we’re getting a single where we get to hear MGK get lost in the singular, spacey strangeness of a Thug track? Has Thug extended his country turn to include rappers exclusively listened to by folks in interstate towns? One can only hope.

The tour itself kicks off at the tail end of September at Toronto’s RBC Echo Beach. A brief New England excursion follows with stops at the Tsongas Center and Rhode Island’s Ryan Center. October takes the pair from Baltimore’s MECU Pavilion on out to St Louis’ Family Arena for a Halloween night show. They continue their westward trek in November, hitting Seattle’s WAMU Theater before turning south for a close-out show at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Thug and Kelly will be joined on certain dates by slick-tongued standout YBN Nahmir, Canadian rapper Killy, Polo G and Strick.
