Born Nika Roza Danilova, Zola Jesus has released three EPs and five full-length studio albums. Her sound is a mix of electronic, industrial, goth, and classic music styles, with some experimental thrown in for good measure. Zola Jesus asked for voice lessons as a little girl, wanting to be an opera singer. After studying opera on and off for ten years, she began to experiment with rock, eventually putting together the sound she’s known for today.
